How do I show a 4' depression of grade for a truck dock on the exterior elevations?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

can you be more precise? As i do understood , that could be accomplished by a Building Pad - a sloped one combined with a horizontal one.

But I am not to sure that I understand what you exatly want...

I put a flat topo surface in the model.  I have tried selecting points with elevations to modify the topo surface. doing so seems to link up the slope to the outside of the flat area and not to the square I have selected points for the boundary of the depression.   ??

I tried adding a building pad and a sloped building pad. Do I need to erase the topo surface for that to work? how do  Iapply that to the toposurface?

Thank you

Doing this often myself, I'm going to tell you the easy workaround.

Turn of topo surfaces in your elevation views and draw it in with a Filled Region set to show the Earth drafting pattern.

Thank you.  That is exactly what I needed.  Now, how do I get that depression to show up on the elevation drawing?

Go onto your plan view and make the extents of the elevation view cut through the depression.

Thank you. About 3 seconds ago I got that figured out. I did that but the elevation didn't update. It is working now though.

Thank you.

you can use Elevation, Section or Section Box ( if you want to render)
