Extending Siding down to the Brick Ledge or Ledge of the Foundation Walls

I think that I made a mistake and placed the Sheathing and the Siding [of the Wall Assembly] beyond [so that it overhangs] the Rim Board of the Floor Assembly. I was expecting to easily go back and Edit the Walls and go into Edit Strucutre and go to Modify and unlock the Sheathing, Air and the Siding Layers and extend them down to the ledge of the Sub-Structure. However, I am getting an Error - Cannot be ignored. 4 Errors: Cannot extend layer(s) of the highlighted vertically compound wall.

Upon reflecting for a moment of how this is actually done in the field I realized that the Wall Assembly would be afixed to the top of the Floor Assembly flush with the Rim Board and no sheathing would necessarily extend over the Rim Board. They would then be Tyekked. And the Brick Veneer or Siding would go over the Tyvek. So note how the Floor Assembly is exposed and the Siding does not cover it. Also the Garage does not have a Floor Assembly...it just has a Slab, yet the same looking Rim is around the Garage.

So my question is do I need to pull back the Sheathing from extending beyond the Rim and then try to unlock the Siding Layer so that it could attach to the Top/Base to the Foundation Walls? Or how then can I repair this error?

Solved in properties pallette.

I was nebulous on the last comment. It is solved in the Properties Pallette because I have noticed that anytime I had an exterior wall in that condition whether at the top or the bottom of the wall...the top and base levels of the wall were not correct.

Interesting, I can relate to this,

But I don't understand quite as well yet.

It seems like you just had to adjust the top/base height in the properties panel. Right?

But you mentioned "unlocking the layers of the wall? How is that done?

Thanks,

To unlock wall layers you need to Edit The Wall Type and use the Modify Tool
