Exporting issues from Revit to Autocad

When I export my Revit piping system, with colored pipes, to AutoCAD the colors do not save and everything in the AutoCAD file is white, not colored as I had it in the Revit file. Is there a way to fix this? I have tried to change the export settings in Revit to use the colors in view instead of by layer but I still cannot get the imported pipes to have the correct colors.

If you would post some screenshots of your Export settings and the view you are trying to export maybe one could make more suggestions...but with the limited info I would say

  1. Check the DWG export settings which you are using...and make sure you are using the appropriate export Layer export options (to be suitable for any overrides/filters/...etc applied to pipes category)
  2. Also in the layers export setting, check the color IDs defined for each category...or load a standard if you are not certain how to change
  3. Try exporting in Hidden Lines view instead of shaded
