I am currently using Revit 2025. I would like to ask how you export material information (for multilayer elements such as walls and floors) to IFC assuming that the wall or floor is modeled as a single element with defined layers in one object.
I am performing tests on IFC Version - IFC 4 Reference View.
If we check the "Export base quantities" option in the IFC export settings under the "Property Sets" tab then in the IFC file within the "Qto_WallBaseQuantities" property set I can access the thickness and names of individual layers.
However this method of presenting information generates certain challenges when creating a quantity take-off based on the IFC model.
I am curious how you export this information to IFC.
