Export to Dwg From Revit without Linked Revit Background of Annotations

I am looking to export to DWG from my revit file without annotations and the linked revit background so we can create a composite dwg. how do i turn off layers when exporting?

I would reccomend you create and name dedicated revit views for each DWG you wish to create.

 

In each of these views, you can mask the annotations and linked revit projects by instance, category, filter and any combination of view templates. When exporting the view to DWG, what you see in the view will be what you get (WYSIWYG) in the exported file.

Duplicate your views and not duplicate by detail. Then when you export, it won't show any annotation and dimension.

If this is something that is in your regular work flow, I would create a view template that turns off annotation and anything else you do not want shown, and apply it to view you create either by duplication or any other means, and then just export those views. But for sure create a view template if this is something you do out of everyproject,
