Export Slab Edges to IfcFooting

Hi Forum,

I have an issu with exporting the slab edges to the IfcFooting Class.

We use the slab edges on our structural Foundations since it is really fast to model & change, compared to an inplace family.

According the IDM ( Information delivery manual) of the project we need to include several custom parameter into the IFC. To do this i use the "Export user defined property sets" Option which reads an input file. ( If you are not familiar with this method, feel free to ask, i will provide more detail explanation)

This export needs however that the Slab edge instances are in the correct IFC- class before a custom property set can be attached.

For our deliverable this means:

• Slab edges are in the wrong category --> Object instead of IfcFooting
• Slab edged have no custom properties attached!

Does anybody know what is missing, or why i am not able to export the slab edges into IfcFooting.

Allthough we are using a german Version we have the exact same problem. We cannot export slab edges to IfcFooting. Did you find a solution yet?

hi,
i tried this with Revit 2017 a lot without any luck, so i finally banned it from our office standard just like the "rectangular straight wall opening" system families.
