Export a Revit 2018 version into an older one

Hi. I'm having problems to export a Revit 2018 version into an older one. I manage to create the IFC file but when I go to open the file its taking 30 minutes to open and doesn't export the parts and some other things in the project.

Any solutions?

try the following:

1. purge/audit the revit model prior to ifc export

2. look at options of ifc and make mapping adjustments prior to ifc export

3. open revit file in navisworks and see if navisworks can export to another file format that you need

4. download trial versions of ifc exporter programs and install to work with revit to get your ifc file, then remove trial version

The IFC format is, also, notorious for losing information from exported models. Just FYI.

Many thanks for your notice.

What should be the direction to take in case of a lot of information is lost!?

Remodel or try to change the ifc exportation options?
