Is there a good way to eTransmit the JPGs and PDFs that are linked into a Revit model?

using the eTransmit plugin both linked PDF and Linked images are transmitted ... is this not how eTransmit is functioning at your end? or what better way are you looking for??

Maybe I am doing something wrong then. If the PDF is linked to a location on the server. The link is preserved but it looks to a location on the server. When I send the eTransmit file to someone without a connection to our server. The PDF does not come with the Revit models like a DWG would.

I want to have the linked JPGs and PDFs go with the Revit model when transferred. I don't want them to remain linked to the location on my server.

Check the path ... Is their path set to Absolute or to Relative?

they were originally set to Absolute. JPGs seem to only be able to be set to absolute. I changed the PDF to Relative and this is the result when eTransmited.

That is the main reason I don't link PDFs and images, but import them.  When they are imported, they still show up even the source is not available.  They just cannot be updated until the source is made available.

Another reason I use import because of drag drop ability instead of browsing to get the the file.

Also, there is no apparent advantage of links over imports, except for perhaps the model file size.  All functions such as Reload, Reload, etc.. work exactly the same between the two methods.

Yes, I might need to add it manually. I was hoping to avoid that step because it is a project schedule that is intended to be linked into multiple files. I was really wanting it to update automatically. Shrug.

I think @ToanDN makes a good argument for Imported Images. I don't think imported images update when the model is opened like links do though.
