ETFE hexagonal cells

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello,

I am currently enrolled in an ATCM professional education and my latest project involves a building that is possitioned inside 3 ETFE domes, just like the "EDEN Project" (For more infromation see the attached picture)\

My question is how can I recreate such a complicated steel hexagonal frame and the ETFE cushions that fill it? Does anybody have a template or knows somebody that did it before?

Do you also think that It will take a lot of time or it can be copy/pasted ones a generic model is done?

Thank you very much!

Best regards,

Yordan

You can use the Conceptual Massing Tool to create the domes and the Adaptive Component tool to clad them. Here are a few link that will help. I'm not sure what version you are in, but I'm assuming its beyond 2011. The information in the below links will work in 2011 and 2012.

Conceptual Massing Tool

Hope this helps and thanks for posting.
