Hello so i'm still working my way around learning revit and i was trying to create contours from google earth using quik grid and autocad and later i extracted, did all that was necessary and saved as a csv file. However when i tried create a topo solid by importing the csv file it first brought an error saying "encountered a sharing problem while accessing C:\file location" and when i was successful at importing other csv files, the topo solid created only came as a line. Kindly advice

Most likely the .csv file is open in another application. Close the file and try again.
Hello so i have done that but while importing the file, it's coming as a solid line here is a photo of the points in the csv file still facing the same problem =(
I think Revit is just doing what it sees in the Excel file. Look at column "A". All the values are 36 feet and some fractions. It's like all the points almost stay at the same place. The same can be said of column "B". And column "C" (the "z" axis) has a variation of some 20 feet.
Those are the x and y values the format is in meters i believe and i used the google earth to quikgrid format to generate the contours
You need to do something with the units or the decimal separator. As it is, it looks like all the X and Y points are all concentrated around a very small area. And that's what Revit is doing.
Aaah i realized that i had not converted the coordinates from degrees to meters
