Hi @Anonymous
I did not see your journal file in the shared folder. Please try uploading again and let me know. I can better investigate the cause of this behavior with a journal.
However, I was able to test your Revit model, and I was able to apply materials. Revit does not crash. So the model is all good.
I was also able to find your Customer error reporting details (from the form you filled out when the crash occurred)
Can you try the below for me and see if this helps resolve the issue?
- Try a repair of Revit and launch again - open the model with audit and try again.
- Is the issue specific to a particular user account? (e.g. create a new Administrative account and retest)
- Does the crash occur when the system is put into a simplified startup environment? Please try a selective startup in Windows
- Could be a corrupt user profile - To reset the corrupt profile see below steps:
1.Open Windows Explorer and browse to the folder with the name of your Revit installation:
-
Windows 7/8/10: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit
Note: The AppData folder is a hidden folder. To show hidden folders, you will need to enable 'Show hidden files and folders from Windows Explorer.
To do this in Windows 7, follow the steps in the following article:
Show hidden files
- 2.Within this folder, you should find a folder named "Autodesk Revit %PRODUCT VERSION%" rename this "Autodesk Revit %PRODUCT VERSION%_Backup"
- 3.Start Revit and a new folder should be created. If a file was corrupted within the folder, Revit may be able to then start with a new initialized user folder
Looking forward to your reply update.
Regards,
