Error Can't Make Family type

I cannot place any new components into my design at all. Any attempt is met with the same error message, and have been unable to find any solutions. If there is a solution or advice on this matter it would be greatly apppreciated.

No new components (families) at all? Or just this one?

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Close all Revit Sessions on the affected machine.
Rename the following file (instead of removing the folders listed in the solution below): C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit %VERSION%\DDGraph
Restart Revit.
Alternatively:
Copy and paste a healthy DDGraph file from another machine, where the issue is not reproducible.

If the above steps do not help, clear the content of the following folders:

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit %VERSION%
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit %VERSION%

%USERNAME% should be your windows login name.

%VERSION% should be your Revit version.

The times I have seen this message it is usually while placing a Door/Windows in a wall. usually the issue is the wall is too thick/thin for the frame parameter and is causing a constraint issues which is causing the "Cant make family" message.

do you get the same error when you place a Chair in a room?

Hi @BG_AEC,

To prevent pages of guessing, could you share the Revit project file?

To keep the file sharing as small as possible, only keep the minimal amount of elements that still cause the error and purge the project + saveas

Have you tried what @ToanDN suggested? If that didn't work can you post the model as @TripleM-Dev.net mentioned.
