equations in schedules

Hi,

There is a complicated way to calculate usage area in my country regulations. If anyone could help my sort this out I would be grateful. The thing is that I need to provide informations in columns like this:

  1. number of room
  2. name of the room
  3. floor area: a
  4. usage area: (b-c)*0,5 + c

a, b c - these are areas measured at certain heights above the floor level:

Is there a way to create such an equation in a revit schedule?

Almost every of mine projects has a sloped roof, so this is like a basic tool I would use in my practice.

Yes, but I still do not know how it was made there, so i figured out what kind of equation I should place in the table.

Can you help my step by step how it can be done?

Were you able to open the Revit model attached with the post?

@filip.knapczyk

Same principle in the method given in reply to your other Post Here >>> Computation height and Floor Areas ...however, here you use 3 Yes/No to identify each space and 3 Calculated values "Area a" "Area b" "Area c".

  • Filter by Level "is at or Above"
  • Sorted by Y/N parameter "Below Roof" & Name
  •  Hide Fields in Yellow
  • Usable Space would be the forth calculated value = Area b + 0.5(Area b - Area c)
  • Unchecking itemize every instance will yield the result shown in Room Schedule - Summary

PS: Computational Height of all levels is "0.00"

See Attached sample file for the formulas used in the calculated values
