Elliptical dome

Hello,

I am new in Revit but I have to designing a building with a complex elliptical dome using Revit 2016.

This is a sketchup model:

For building it I made revolve with an arc and cutted the result with a plane.

I managed to do something similiar in Revit with mass model and adding a roof in the project. But the problem are the borders of the roof. they are vertical and they need to be perpendicular to de surface.

Here the problem:

I have tried the fascia options (rafter cut?) but  I get and error and Revit can't make it. So I have tried a workaround making a border with and inplace component sweep. Like that:

My question is: How can I handle this kind of geometry in Revit? I think my solution is not very clean and not very acurate. In adition in the center there will be a cut with ETFE structure that will be even more complex, Should all these details be modelled in Revit or just draw them as detail? The other solution that I can imagine is to model all the complex parts in sketchup and import it to Revit, but then my other elements (walls, columns, etc) won't interact with it.

Thank you very much in advance.
