Hello,

I'm trying to make an ellipsoidal mass; however, I cannot define the height of the ellipsoidal.

Not clear whether the ellipse you are trying to trace is a revit model/detail line or if it is an imported DWG. If its an imported dwg, simply find the quadrants then

  • Either Create an ellipse using 3 points
  • or Set the work plane to the reference line joining two quadrants and use pick tool (See GIF below)

then use the Revit model/reference line to create the Ellipsoid

I just imported a mass from Rhino; much better massing tools.

Draw a half ellipse, select it and enter the dimension value as needed.  Draw a line.  Select them and create form.  It cannot be easier than that.

"I cannot define the height of the ellipsoid," a triaxial ellipsoid. The third axis or height of the ellipsoid.

Revit only let's you define 2 axis NOT the height of the ellipsoid. Unless I'm wrong and you can do that on Revit. I do not see a height option on your ellipsoid.
