Hi,

When our company have updated to Revit 2021/Revit 2022 we have encountered a lot of issues with realistic views. One of it is that certain lines/objects are showing up beyond the crop view. See PDF output below:

These are beyond the crop regions and are also covered by the break line detail item.

I tried printing using different PDF printers to rule out that the printer is not the problem, but still, it shows the same output. I tried editing the break line family, previously shown as masking, I changed it to solid white filled region but still shows the same output when printed. I tried editing the crop view, still shows the same. I also have tried changing the Adobe printer properties to High Quality, just in case it works, but still doesn't solve the problem.

I tried changing the graphics to shaded, and it looks like the realistic view is the issue:

As shown above, the lines are not showing up on shaded visual style. It could be another problem with Revit 2021 and newer versions of Revit with Realistic views, I also tried opening it in 2022 and shows the same problem when printed.

Anyone here who experienced the same? Is this an ongoing issue that Autodesk is trying to resolve?

Thanks!

Are you talking about the Annotations?

No, not the levels, there are vertical lines on the right of the elevation
views (highlighted in yellow on the first photo). These lines are only
showing up when the view is set to realistic.

Have you tried Revit 2022 native Export to PDF tool?

Ah! I see now. Never had any like issues.  If you want to post the file, I'll see if I can troubleshoot.

Hi, I have tried this but it still doesn't solve the problem unfortunately. It has something to do with Revit's realistic view

Hi @barthbradley , I have sent a sample file below to only include the elevation sheet. I have removed the titleblock details for company privacy. Please let me know if the lines are still showing up when you print to PDF on your end. Thank you!

Seems to be coming from Structural Framing Category. Turn off that Category and that line work disappears from the PDF output.  That's my quick findings.

Hi @barthbradley thanks for taking the time to check the file, unfortunately the structural framing category could not be turned off from the view since some elements under this category should be shown in the elevations. It's just weird that these lines are showing up beyond the crop view. Also on past projects, this has been a problem when realistic views are set to the elevations.
