Hello Everyone,
I'm having an issue with element keynotes on a project in 2023. It has happened in an elevation a few days ago and today in a floor plan - the keynote value in the type properties will get reassigned seemingly arbitraily. We have our keynotes numbered by sheet in Revit and use a alphanumeric system within our editing environment. Let's say the element keynote of the first item is supposed to have an element keynote value of EM7 and the second is supposed to have a value of EC11. You begin to place keynotes and notice these two have the same "by sheet" number....hmmm. Then you open up the type properties only to find that both now have a keynote value of 22 which isn't even an option in our editing environment. What the heck? Anyone else having similar issues or know why this may be happening?
Disclosure: I am aware that using an element keynote and changing the value after placement will affect the keynote value of the element as well.
Thanks so much!
Thanks for your response, @PhilvK. We always have our keynotes numbered by sheet as a firm practice. We have used this same system for many projects in the past and have just now experienced this problem. It's not always even a number that gets reassigned. When this was happening in an elevation the other day, it kept reassigning different elements to the same keynote value so they all had the same by sheet value and corresponding entry in the keynote legend. This kept happening despite the fact that the elements were already loaded in the project, had the correct keynote value assigned in their type properties, and were working as planned up to the moment I started keynoting them in that view. So very frustrating!
