Egg shapped dome

Hi,
I have scoured the internet for the past few weeks and have not been able to find any tutorials on creating an egg shaped dome.

I can find many tutorials on spherical and oval, but there doesn't appear to be any for an egg shaped.

What would be the best way to do this?

Regards

This can be done easily using a Revolve, with either a Generic Model or Mass Family.

The profile of the egg shape is drawn in sketch mode and then the revolve creates the form.

The family can them be loaded into the project and Walls and Roofs by Face can be added to the Mass.

I also suggest the revolve tool for egg shaped dome.

It works pretty well. You should draw the section and make it rotate around a pivot line.

You can model it as a component inside your project or as a family outside and then bring it to your model.

It's on component --- . model in place--- > create tab --> revolve

Hi all,

This works when the revolution is circular, but what if you also want to follow an egg-shaped plan?
