Edit parameter in linked file

Hello everybody,

Please advise me regarding if it is possible, in a host Revit file, to change a parameter of a linked Revit file.

My case is a masterplan containing several types of residence houses (1-5 types). However each of them may have 2 different solar panels on the roof layout (so as to catch the South best regardless of house orientation).

Instead of making 5 x 2 = 10 different types, i would make a Solar panel family with Yes/No options and put it on the roof. However, this means to control the visibility not from the linked, but from the host file.

Any parameter added to the current project will not show up in the link model unless you open the link model and add the same parameter there.

No you cannot. What you can do is adding parameters in the host project and
assign them to Revit Links category so that you can reference them in your schedule.
