Edit Floor Type with Metal Deck

I have a floor deck that I am using as an architectural floor slab. The type is 5” overall comprised of 3” concrete and 2” metal deck. I want to create 2 more types: One with 1 ½” deck, and another that is 3 ½” overall with 1” deck. The problem is that what I try to duplicate and edit the floor type, the drop down (highlighted below) is only showing the 2” deck. There are no more selections to choose from when I click the down arrow. How do I load additional deck profiles?

What you need to do is create a new floor profile in the shape you desire the floor to be cut, edit the existing profile family and save it as a new

Jacob – Thank up for the video, but that is one I have seen before. I went thru all the steps shown in the video, but when I get to the part where I’m to select a different deck, I do not have any other choices than the one showing. The video shows multiple choices for the deck: my question is how do I access other deck profiles?

Hi Phil,

You need to find the profile shape in the list of families in your project, once you've found it right click and edit, then edit the shape to what you want and save it as a new family with whatever name you choose.

OK. Found it! Thank you. Now...do you happened to know what the various abbreviations stand for. i.e., wr, Sr, etc.?
