In our company we would like to use our own shared parameter library and not fill our models with shared parameters from other libraries.
Sometimes we would like to use manufacturers families, but they are usually flooded with their own shared parameters. Converting these shared parameters to family parameters by hand is tedious work. (and you have to clean the file after with revitlookup)
Does anyone have tips how to bulk convert all shared parameters in one family to family parameters and clean the shared parameters from the file? Preferred way is out-of-the-box method or dynamo script.
Most of the tutorials or tips I have found about the subject are converting family parameters TO shared parameters, so opposite workflow 🙂
This would make the usage of manufacturer families much more effective for our design purposes. Thank you in advance for your replies.
