Drop-Down Parameter for a text type parameter in a Family

Hey guys, I wonder if Revit allows me to set a type parameter for a family that is a drop-down list with some text tags ( I just want the user to classify the family with some texts without having to type it in the project, so the person can rather just choose the text from a drop down list with a limited amount of options)

Thank you

Yes.  It is the same answer to your question about selecting different symbol.  Use a Family Type <Generic Annotation> to choose different text from nested family types.  See example family attached.

Thanks for the reply! I thought about doing that but because my family has other generic anotations in it, the drop down menu selects all generic annotations in my model. Also even if I delete the ones I don´t want but lod my family into a REVIT model it ends up also adding to the list all generic annotations in my main model 😕 Anyway I can solve this?

Also when I mention " text" i just want a typed property in my model (not an annotation itself) so this might open a wider window for solutions.

* ALso I am having issues when adding this set to a filter as all the Gen. Annotations in my family appear as an option. I would like just to create a text field that I define as sort of a indentity data of my object (?)

Thanks again!

I tried working with LookUp tables but it didn´t work as I expected, however I was able to create something that was a bit better than what I was doing previously! ( Basically, I defined numbers to categorise my families and that would set a text to my family according to the number that I set in my lookup table - therefore my user does´t need to type the whole text). I have also a question about those lookup tables. Is it possible to use it to set family types (like nested families in my family?)
