Drawing icon not showing for column

Hi guys how to show the icon marked in red after selecting to insert column? to see it is vertical or horizontal

I can only see it after I insert the column

This is a known issue in Revit, if the level you are working in is higher than the View Range with in the column family then it will not display the column while placing.
