Draft View items missing, possible corrupted file

Revit 2022

Windows 10

Bim360

So we noticed recently on one of our projects that many of the draft views (on and off sheets) had missing line work, regions, etc. No real discernible rhyme or reason that we are aware of. Has anyone run into this before?

Fortunately we're on bim360 and are able to open earlier versions to recover most of the missing data back into the file. But, is this the safest approach: updating the same corrupted file? Do we run the risk of the same thing happening again? Starting fresh may be a time killer along with going back to the version file we used to recover the information.

Thank you

Unless you are on 2024 which is having issues, what you are describing probably is not corruption. More likely, something or someone is causing this. Your concerns about file corruption may not be warranted.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

This is exactly what is happening to us. However we have no travel schedule:

From what I can tell this is just the detail components and regions disappearing. From my conversations with co-workers no schedule purging has occurred.

Is there a way you can copy the detail file out to a new file and see if those detail stay intact?

I just saved out the new draft view and it remains the same.

The co-works brought in draft views from a previous version stored on BIM360 into the current file. They later noticed the same thing occurred: deletion of regions and detail components.

PROBLEM SOLVED:

So the detail components had a parameter that was being referenced in a schedule just like the linked example in my previous post.

A co-worker deleted the empty rows not knowing it was linked to these detailed components.

Lesson is: Don't create fields with populated parameters from detailed components and be cautious of what you delete in schedules.

Thanks for everyone's responses.
