Hi everyone, I have uninstalled C4R for some problems that I had when I was starting Revit 2018. Now I have to use Insight for an energy analysis and it doesn't work. Reading through some posts in this forum someone suggested that the problem could be associated with the lack of C4R. So I tried to download it, but since it is already included in the Revit pack I couldn't find the download. I tried to reinstall Revit, but that too didn't work.
Do you know what can I do?

Downloading the software is not enough. Did you also sign up for the service? It's an additional fee, more than $100 a month. If you have 2018.3 or newer the new service is called BIM 360 Design.
I have a free educational version, but from what I read I don't have to use directly C4R, just having it downloaded
I might be wrong, but I really doubt that C4R will work for free even if you have an educational version.
I'm not sure C4R has anything to do with the energy analysis problem.
See this: http://blogs.autodesk.com/revit/2017/06/02/energy-analysis-derives-design-intent/
Did I mis-read? I thought the issue was that Insight doesn't work, and you were told that it may be because of C4R conflict.
This is what they told me, but since I'm not too much of an expert asked to you all ![]()
If I remember correctly, the educational version cannot use the service of energy analysis. I think that requires a typical client's subscription.
C4R has nothing to do with insight they are 2 separate services
the insight add in is here: https://insight360.autodesk.com/oneenergy/Landing/Download
but like what was said before i don't know if this is available under the student license
