Door Schedule Door Mark values automatic

Hello

I like to know the fastest way to change the highlighted Mark values without manually having to go through every single one of them. I want to change the highlighted parts of the Mark values to 'B'.

Open a 3d view and the schedule view, highlight rows in the schedule and switch to 3d view, the doors should still be selected and you can type the mark value from properties.  Similarly, select the rows and use highlight in model button then change mark value.

If you want all doors under a certain type to have the same mark, then consider using type mark.

You seem to be Marking them based on Width...Width for doors is usually a type parameter, hence you could use Type Mark instead of Mark (Mark is usually used for sequential numbering) ...

However, if for some reason you need the Marks to be similar, an easy way to Mark a bunch of doors with the same width would be to do it all in the Schedule:

  1. Under the Schedule's Sorting Tab
    • Sort Schedule By Width
    • Uncheck itemize Every Instance => (you will have 1 row per width)
  2. Input the Mark for each length in the relevant row
  3. Go back to Sorting Tab and check Itemize again

The mark values we usually use for the unique door number. In Norway that is usually build as: RoomNumber+SequencialNumber.

We are using a plugin to number the doors automatically based on  the room number.

You can use the database editor as it allows to past to multiple cells. That can be faster than using the Revit schedules if it is not easily sortable into groups.
