Door hardware not showing up in 3D view

The doors I am using in my building appear to have door hardware as part of the materials/finishes.  See attached image of the door properties.  However, the door handles do not show up on the door in 3D view.  I have detail level set at fine.   Please advise, and thanks in advance! (I am using Revit 2019)

Does the handle show in 3D in the door family?

No it does not.  Here's what I see when I look at the door family.  Do I need to associate the handle material with the door somehow?  Thanks for any suggestions!

Go to an elevation in the family. Does the hardware appear? If so, select it. See if it has visibility parameters for 3D--if so, turn it on.

Could be just a Text Parameter, like Finish is.  Could you verify for us what type parameter it is?

-What Barth is saying is--there may not be any actual 3D hardware in the family--just a "text parameter",

so you could type something in that would read on the door schedule.

-If you need to see the hardware in all views--2D and 3D, then try "nesting" it--inserting it as a family--into your door family. Then assign visibility parameters to it if needed.

So there is no actual hardware model in the door family.  Find one online and nested it in the door family.  Set it to not show on Plan/RCP and elevations so that it only shows in 3D view.

Well then, it's a parameter associated to nothing. From what I read, you have no hardware modeled or nested in the family.   It is possible that the parameter just exists and is not associated to anything.

So  what was the solution exactly, @jjordanKMKVZ? You had no hardware in the family; just a material parameter for hardware?  

...you know that Revit has some OOTB hardware families; don't you? Some users are not aware of this. Drill down into the OOTB Door folder and you'll find them.  I think they are in a folder under "Commercial Doors".
