Door Handle on Moving Door

I have created a revit family where I can specify how far I want the door to open in 3d by parameters. However, I am having issues placing a door knob on my door panel and making it move with the door when I adjust the angle. What is the best way for me to go about this? I have attached an image of the door partially opened.

Create the door knob as an independent family and then nest it into the door family. Constrain it to the required position via a reference plane. That will make so much easier to constrain the knob geometry.

Yes, I have tried that and it works until I attempt to open the door. The door will no longer open with a door knob nested into the door family.

Try to group the door leaf with the nested door knob.

Create the knob as a face based family and nest it on the door panel.

I still get a constraints not satisfied error with a face based knob that is constrained with height and distance from edge of door.

Let it remove the constraint. Then see if you can reapply it differently.

If not, share the family

You may have constrained it to the fame or opening, not the panel.

Assign the workplane of the nested family (knob) to the face of the door.

  Otherwise it won't follow.

I've tried this but I don't understand how this is the answer. I've moved and copied and nested everything. Nothing works so far.

Please help me understand how?
