Door Family Showing Everything in Elevation

I am trying to create a family for a sliding solid wood door with a wood frame. When I place the door into the project and look at it in elevation parts of the door and opening that are behind the frame and should not be visible are still showing up. I tried using a masking region on the frame to fix this problem but that did not work. I have also had this problem in millwork families where the actual millwork box would show in elevation even though it should be covered by the actual doors of the millwork. Here are some images of what I am talking about:

In the elevation view the darker lines are the only ones that should be showing up, everything else should be behind another mass and therefore should not be able to be seen. I have also attached a copy of the family if that helps.

If you don't want to see the extrusions in elevation you can turn then off in the Visibility settings in the family so that they only show in the views you want...they will still show up in a 3d view.  You can also set what level of detail you want to see them at.

Symbolic lines will show in corresponding elevations.

I can't tell if some of this is framing that will sit inside the wall...if so it needs to be controlled so that it does that for different wall thicknesses.

Also...that last image looks like there is transparency set in the view perhaps?

The door seems fine.  Is your elevation view set to wireframe?
