Doing fun stuff with Railings

I am experimenting with Railings - one of the things that I have done has been to create a railing tool for countertops.

Step 2 would seem to be adding casework to the countertop created. Here's my question - is it possible to nest casework families into a baluster family and add it to the railing?

I have been trying and no, it has not worked. Hopefully, I have missed something!

I have no problem doing so. Can you upload your parent and nested family?

It works fine when it’s not shared. Maybe a parametric array in a line based generic model family would be a better approach - just a thought.

Thank you @PijPiwo - I will un-share the family forthwith.

Of course now I am dealing with the whole "well it's nice that Revit does this, but it's nothing that we need" mentality. Am I wasting my time trying to come up with ways to do things that are quicker??
