Doesn't a revit crash error report show an CER id reference number?

... this id can be submitted to your case and Autodesk support can view that particular crash and give you some idea why the crash happened.

Yes, when submitting an error report (CER) I would expect a report number to be provided in the browser window that opens (behavior may be different for older versions). Here is an example from Revit 2021:

If you are not seeing this, could you clarify the following points:

  • What version of Revit is crashing?
  • Is a browser window opening after submitting the report?
    • What is displayed in the browser after submitting the report (screenshot)?
  • If a different default browser is set, does the behavior change?
