'Do Not Crop View' greyed out.

I have a 3D view which has the 'Do Not Crop View' option on the status bar greyed out, (the 'Crop View' option under 'Extents' in the properties palette similarly greyed out). I've read a few similar post where it's down to a scope box being present but on this particular Revit model, no scope has been applied (the Scope Box is showing 'None'). Anyone any ideas please?

Well I would suspect a scope box initially, but it's apparently not... what happens when you duplicate the view?

Brilliant, I didn't think of that! Duplicating the view produces a copy with no greying out, just as it ought to be. I wonder why the original behaves as it does, must be glip or something? No matter, you've solved the problem. - thanks very much!

Yeah I suspect it's a glitch, not sure why it would be greyed out otherwise for this perspective view...

I had the same problem! I noticed when I had the 3d-view placed on a sheet I was unable to uncrop the view. So I removed it from the sheet and that fixed the problem. Good to know if you don't want to make new views all the time the problem occurs. Hope this is helpful for someone in the future!

What happens if you recreate the view from scratch?

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
