Displace linked in revit model

Is there a way to use the displacement tool on a model that has been linked into another revit model?

I am trying to make an axonometric but i have a structural model loaded in that I would like to displace as well. Any ideas?

Hello @Anonymous - so if i understand you are working in model 'c' and have linked in model 'a' which has model 'b' linked into it... You want to move model 'b' while working in model 'c' - correct?

You would not be able to do this since model 'a' controls the link of model 'b'. 

if you need to move them individually - I would suggest linking model 'a' and model 'b' separately into model 'c' and this will give you the access and control you are looking for.

And it can't be done to elements in linked model as far as I know.

You could try Binding the Struct. model into yours, then use Displacement on struct. items. 

( Maybe do a Save-As for these purposes--keeping your original model w/ struct. model linked into it?)

Or--maybe open the Struct. model and use displacement on it?

Before the days of Displacement Sets there was the old school method of creating a 3D view (isometric or perspective) > Locking the view > Duplicating several times > Changing the visibility for each > Placing them on a sheet > Annotating the sheet with detail lines and notes if desired.

If you want something manageable and that is a live workflow this is the best option that I would recommend.
