Duplicate with detailing is supposed to generate a duplicate including any dimensions or annotations added on the original view prior to duplicating (Unless in the generated copy you have either applied a view template or overridden the Dimension category to have it invisible)
If you want the dimensions placed on the original to continue populating on the copy then you would need to Duplicate as dependent
