Thanks

Dimensions are placed in individual views. Any chance you're looking at a different view? Working on your own or with others and worksets are being used? Did you check Visibility/Graphics to make sure they are turned on? Did you delete elements that are related to the dimensions?

More clues needed to really help you out.

Was there an undarlay set when you placed the dimensions? If so, maybe you dimensioned elements of the underlay, and when turning the underlay of these dimensions will dissappear as well.

Hi, i am having a similar issue using REVIT 2018, i am applying strings of dims to the perimeter of a flat layout, all are being applied one after the other and i am finding that one or two of the strings will disappear once i have moved to a different sheet. I am having to dim-up, print and then do the next - not ideal!

Any suggestions?

Hello @Anonymous Thank you for posting to the forums.

Here are a few clarifying questions for you.

Are you able to reproduce this issue?

Does it happen with any file or a specific file?

Which version of Revit 2018 are you on?   The newest is 2018.3.3 and can be accessed using the Autodesk Desktop App or manage.autodesk.com

Have you found the problem happens with any dimension type?

Would you be able to share a brief screencast of the problem.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast

When you are in the view and can see the dimensions,   Have you tried copying them to clipboard, deleting them and pasting them back aligned to the same place in the Revit view?

Does this help to show the dimensions?

Hi Michael, yes i have replicated a number of times (unfortunately for me!), i am currently using 2018.3.3 and it only happens where i have 2 plots sharing wall.

I can apply dims successfully to all sides, but when i go to the neighbouring plot and apply the dims, REVIT seems to get confused and remove both sets to the the shared/party wall!

I am currently having to add, print and export one set at a time.

Please help!

Hello @Anonymous Happy to help!

Does the problem happen on any machine and only with this one file?

Can you attach the file and share a brief screencast of the problem.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast

What are the results of this test:

When you are in the view and can see the dimensions,   Have you tried copying them to clipboard, deleting them and pasting them back aligned to the same place in the Revit view?
