Dimensions Disappear from Dependent View when Scope box is applied

My colleague has an issue that I wanted to check if others are experiencing

2015 R2 update latest

Existing dimensions that are visible in the parent view disappear in the dependent view whenever a scope box is applied to the view. New dimensions show up but existing ones disappear and don’t come back when the scope box is “removed”.

Ever seen this before?

I figured out what was happening. The dimensions were mirrored from another quadrant (of project) and the dimension host remained in the other quadrant. When the scope box defines the crop boundary, the dimension isn't shown because its host is not in the view anymore. The weird thing though is that when the scope box is removed, it doesn't show up again.
