Dimension line - line weight

Dear friends 

Hi

 

i got an issue with dimension line.

 

When i change the value of Line Weight and Tick Mark Line Weight in type dialog box of a dimension line it does not change the line weight in view. Why and how to do it ?

Make sure that you are Changing the same dimenion style,or Check the "Thin line" is on or off

Thanks, Thin line command was on. 

 

I have got a few more queries ;

 

1. Is there any way to show the lines of core layer of a wall in thick lines and lines of finish layer in thin lines ?

 

2. When we dimension a wall, Revit by default picks the center line of the wall and we have to press tab to pick the interior/ exterior side of the wall.

Is there any way by which Revit picks the interior/ exterior side of the wall by default ?
