Hello

I've a question about dimension in revit. I have alot of holes that I want to dimension with diameter but it has a line in the middle of the circle that goes through and I want to only have the x and the leader. See image for more information, I want to remove the lines that are marked yellow.

Looks like it may be coming from your Tick Mark Family.  What defines the Center Mark; the element ("Center Mark Visible") or the dimension ("Tick Mark")?

...can you tell us where the holes are coming from? How are they created?

This is driving me crazy as well. I can control the Dimension Line Extension, but cannot turn it off completely. C'mon Forum; anybody know the trick?  I'm done playing with it -- but following thread...

Only Ordinate dimensions can be rid of the dimension line. Others can't.

Hi @Anonymous,

if you can't hide it, at least you can make it more attractive

to get rid of the lineparts on the outside of the circle:

  •  open the type-properties of the diameter dimension style.
  • Set the value for Dimension Line Extension to 0.

removing the central line needs to be done manually for each instance.

select the dimension and move the bleu dot in the centre to the edge of the circle
