When you first inserted the linked file into Revit, did you check the box which says "Current View Only"?

Current View OnlyCurrent View Only

Have you checked your Visibility/Graphics menu to ensure Imported Categories, and that particular CAD file, are visible in your enlarged plan? Is a view template's settings (particularly the Imported Categories tab) precluding the appearance of the CAD file?

Is the CAD file on a level which is outside of the View Range of the enlarged floor plan's view?

Just a few ideas to start. Let us know if none of these are the source of the issue.

...another possibility: placed on level that is not within the view range.

Can you post a couple screen shots: one of the overall plan where the CAD file is visible, and one of the enlarged plan where it is not? Be sure to include your Properties palette in both images.

That's likely it. Though just for fun I'd put money on the view range being too narrow.
