Design Options & Section/Elevation References

Is there a way to assign Section Cuts & Elevation references to a Design Option?

I would like to show a Design Option with Section & Elevation references in the various views only and not have appear the Section & Elevations references used for other Design Options.

You can set up views to reference a particular DO.

But in each of those Design Options I have different Section cuts & Elevation references.

When I duplicate a View all the Section Cut & Elevation references come with it.

So when I create separate sheets to place different Design Option Views, I currently have to manually select each of the Section Cut & Elevation references not belonging to that Design Option & Hide them in the view.

Am I missing something here?

You need to create a separate and independent View  for each DO that you want represented on a Sheet -- using the VG Override control that I showed you above.

Ok, I see my problem now. The Section Cuts & Elevations were all created before I made the various Design Options.  So is there a way to move them into different Design Options?

The Section and Elevation are not referencing the DOs; the are referencing the Section Marks and Elevation Marks. Any annotations you placed in either view that reference DO elements are simply gone if the reference is no longer there.  Any annotation that remain, are drawn on the Detail Plane (the plane that is closest to you as you look at the view).

VG of the section view control which Design options showing in that View.  The one below controls the Mark.

Thanks ToanDN!

Very simple and effective method.

Do you know of any way to then move the Section/View once it has been made visible in a new D.O.? I don't seem to be able to......
