Demolitions and Design Options

I am involved in a project which involves changes to an existing building and am working on different options for the design brief. However these options involve the demolition of existing elements but differing elements for each option.  In other words a length of existing wall needs to be demolished in one option but remains in another.  I am struggling to find a way of indicating this, so any ideas please.

You'll have to use design options for the various demolition schemes.  Since you can't demolish just part of something in Revit, you'll have to split up the element being demolished into multiple parts, and then demolish the applicable portions.

In the design options for the demolition you will need to have duplicates of the wall ( and other elements as relevant ), in one option it will be demolished, in the other option it remains as existing.

It is true. You can combine the design Options withPhases. Beside duplicating the elements for design option you have also the assign the right phase.

After this you have to duplicated the views and to set the right design option filter vor visibility. Please check the video I made for a step by step explanation.
