Hi Guys, is there a way to set camera view default to a preset view template ? So that any newly created camera view will have that same view template applied. The current default is set to None. Thx

Yes. Similar to any other view

Open a Cam view >> Edit Type >>> Set the View Template you want and apply. Every new Cam you place will have the View template assigned to it automatically

... See GIF

The text is there above the gif

  1. Open a Cam view >>
  2. Setup the view settings as desired
  3. Go to manage view templates abd create a template from that view
  4. In the cam view click Edit Type on the propertiespanel
  5. Set the View Template you created in step 3
  6. Apply.

Every new Cam you place THEREAFTER  will have the View template assigned to it automatically

It works. Thx guys.

Extra question, is there a way to expand the view wider (rat view). automatically, says 10ft both sides.

I have to do that for every camera view, perhaps 2022 has that option.

Not that I know of.  But you can Zoom out the camera view smaller than your view screen, select the view crop, right click and choose Reset Crop Boundary to Screen, then the view will fill your screen.

Or, manually grip resize the Crop.

Or manually type in Size Crop value.
