Hi Autodesk community,

I am trying to cut out a wall section to make a gap for a open area. However, I keep getting error's when I click to finish modifying and won't let me save or override it.

Your wall profile should not have overlapping. To make it work, it has to be closed off loop without intersecting lines. See screenshot

Cutting a wall in two pieces like that would not be necessary anyway. If there is no lintel nor anything else, just two pieces of wall from floor to top, then all you need is two segments of wall, not one wall broken in two.

Most likely what you need is an opening family instead, so that you have a lintel above the opening, and projection lines in plan view, and even a trim around the opening.

Thank you for your help. I’ll add an opening with a lintel on top.
