Short answer is YES

If you are planning to get into larger projects or high LOD then it does seem to improve responsiveness working in complex views but overall its very negligible and even then you'd be better off bumping up the CPU then adding a GPU.

Rendering in Revit only uses CPU. However, if you are working in 3d view or using shade or other graphic options, GPU will be needed to smooth the 3d browsing. Otherwise, the gaming GPU with 2GB will be enough for any simple work.

Remember : without the difficult times in your LIFE, you wouldn't be who you are today. Be grateful for the good and the bad. ANGER doesn't solve anything. It builds nothing, but it can destroy everything...
