Cut Plane at Window - Not Cutting Window

Hello,

My View Range Cut Plane is at 5'0" and my window sill is at 4'0". However, the View Range is not cutting through the window. Please see attached image and advise other settings I should be checking.

1. Is it same window family as the other window?
2. can u attach the family?
3. Provide elevation of wall please... the image u provided implies that window is not cutting wall/host

Hi @micah, 

Hope you are well. Is it the same window family type as the others in your project which is functioning as expected? If it is the same window family type, what happens when you copy the instance to the desired location? 

If the family type isn't exactly the same as the other windows or if there is a nested family in your window type, then it is important to set the family to Shared under Family Category and Parameters > Family Parameters > Shared if you need the cut plane to display as expected.

The cut plane for windows is working a bit different then for lots of other objects in Revit. Basically the cut plane inside the windows family determines the cut plane of the window in the project. For more details see THIS article on hokbimsolutions website.
