Cut pattern not being applied to the linked revit model

Hello,

I have an issue with applying the cut pattern to the linked revit model in one of my project.

In order to show the black poche for the wall cut in the axon drawing, I applied solid cut pattern in the view template.

However, it only applies to the live wall, not to the linked model which is the separate revit model of existing building.

(Please see the screenshot below. Black poche is the new wall in the live revit model, and the column is from the linked model.)

I've tried everything I can do: overriding cut pattern for the revit link by applying custom V/G, letting the revit link take over the host view V/G, changing the view discipline, changing the materiality, etc. But nothing really works.

Can anyone help me on this? Thanks!

Silly question, but I got to ask -- are the walls actually being cut.  I mean, it's a Cut Pattern; right?

Yes, all those walls and columns are actually cut by the same section box.

Try removing and re-linking under the Architectural Discipline

...I'm noticing some transparency with some of the elements in your view.  Is that coming from the Link or the Host or the screenshot?

I tried, but nothing works. It seems more fundamental reason behind it.

Are you overriding the link in the view using Visibility/Graphics? If the view is using Discipline: Architectural or Coordination and the link is governed by the host it should behave the same. However the view Detail Level matters too as well as the materials being used by the linked file's wall types involved. If they are simple walls using default materials you won't get much.

Is that transparency because those "walls" are a glass material.  Are you sure you are overriding the right category?

Phase graphic is already overrode to the column. (Grey) I'm trying to override black to match the wall cut.

I would change the view to show complete.

Thanks for the advice! Could you elaborate about 'nested override?'

So, your cut overrides are applied to curtain panels as well?

I knew that would throw you. Wrong vernacular. That's why I edited post.

Yes, the override doesn't work for curtain panels and mullions..

They should. Hmm. Got a hum-dinger of a puzzler here.  You are actually overriding cut display under the Link Category in VGOs?

...like I offered before;  you can post the file for us to inspect.

Have you changed the view to Show Complete?
