Custom Mullion Profile - How to mitre corners?

Hi,

 

I created 2 custom mullion profiles. One of those profiles is used for the interior mullions and the other is used for the border mullions. My problem is that I can't seem to mitre join the mullions, I can only "break at join" or "make continuous". I don't know if it has anything to do with the type of mullion that it is - I duplicated a Rectangular Mullion and then replaced the profile with my custom one.

 

Does anyone know how to get them to mitre so that it looks like a continuous frame?

I think we should take a step back...

 

Is this a railing? Why use curtain wall to create a railing? I don't say its wrong but...

 

Ok, based on this picture you gave, I assume the panel itself has some sort of a frame which is welded to the main frame, am I right? Why not just play using curtain wall panels. Model a panel which has a "T" frame, then use simple rectangular profile for mullions...

In this case it does look like a railing, but we have many cases where we use it as a full partition wall from floor to ceiling. 

 

I didn't think about creating a new curtain wall panel. That's a great idea, thank you!

Here is a different approach using a CW for the panel of the border frame.  This does not require any custom curtain panel family.
