Curve Geometry Visibility, Link CAD, Rhino to Revit

The Problem:

I've been trying to help the Rhino and Revit users in the office play nicely, but I can't find a solution here. I'd like to use the Link CAD command in Revit to link in Rhino models, but it appears to only link in solid and surface geometry, no 2D curve geometry. Rhino folks here have a lot of 2D linework that Revit folks need to reference.

The Troubleshooting:

The Import CAD command has the same results. Interestingly, the Import 3DM Rhino.Inside command includes curve geometry as it creates a Direct Shape object from the Rhino model. This could work, but you can't really Reload the model, creating a relationship between the files. You can Import 3DM again and overwrite the existing Direct Shape as long as the name matches, but that isn't ideal.

The Question:

Does anyone know a trick to get Revit to read curve geometry when using the Link CAD command to link in a Rhino model, or is this functionality not currently developed? Thank you.

Only if you export 3DM to DWG and link the DWG. But it is an extra step
that I guess you don't want.
