Curtain Wall Panel Trimming

Hi,

I'm modelling a building that has a profiled insulated panel for the cladding. I'm not sure if its the best way, however I've created a Curtain Wall Panel to create the vertical profile and applied this to a Curtain Wall in the project.

This appears to work well until I need to form openings for doors/windows etc, then Revit [Lt] seems to struggle and not work? Equally, how to avoid the end panel of the elevation which is less than the standard 1m or 2m panels becoming a default solid panel [i.e not profiled]

The family is not constrained properly, or rather over-constrained, so that when the width changes, the extrusion breaks.  You shouldn't lock the extrusion, only the voids, to the left and right reference planes.
