Curtain Wall Door is Cut in Half

Anonymous

Hello,

Every time I try to insert a door into a curtain wall the door shows up "cut in half" horizontally. I'm not sure how to have the entire double door showing. In the properties panel only half the door shows up as a preview as well

Thank you very much

Two possibilities:

1. The cell is actually two cells with a deleted horizontal mullion in the middle.

2. The curtain wall door family is not constrained properly to the top horizontal reference plane.

try to use other family. and, please, attach it or make some images. now it looks just like you use window not a door.

when you pick ac instrument , is there any other types of families?

it`s jpeg with window, but try to find a list under your family by push the button as it shown on the image

Thank you for the help! This is what it looks like. As you can see in the properties panel the double door appears to be cut in half

Not understanding.  The Width and Height look correct proportionally.  Is it supposed to be twice as tall or what?

The full curtain wall door is not sitting inside the mullions, only half of the door is, you can see in the properties panel that the door hardware appears to be at the top of the door. Since the door is cut in half horizontally

The first image is just a thumbnail preview of the family. It was created when the family was saved the 1st time, by which point the dimensions may not be all making sense.  It means little to none.

The bottom line is you can ignore it and only need to be worried how the door actually show when you place it in the curtain wall.  By the look of it, it is correct.
